Description
The KRG SOTIC rifle is a melding of premium components into a superb rifle with a singular mission: being a long range rifle.
The 3-lug action is striking and delivers a nice silky bolt throw, giving you minimal position disruption from shot to shot. The barrels are premium match grade from Krieger, Brux, Broughton, and Benchmark to allow you to put rounds where you want them. The chassis is a special version of KRG's Whiskey-3 in the very latest 6th Generation, it has tool-less adjustments and the ergonomics that you need in a precise long range rifle. The trigger is 2-stage, smooth and sweet. Of course it is multi-adjustable so you can set it how you like it.

Action:
- 3-lug with 60 degree bolt throw, AR style extractor and plunger ejector

Barrel:
- Premium match grade barrels: Krieger, Benchmark, Brux, and Broughton
- Stainless steel, cerakoted Contour is Sako TRG contour (.875" at muzzle) with 5/8-24 3A muzzle thread
- Uses barrel nut system so qualified users can install and headspace replacement/alternate barrels easily
Trigger:
- 2-stage with a shoe that is adjustable fore and aft and features a bottom safety
- Adjustable for overtravel, 1st stage pull weight, 2nd stage pull weight
- Does not need to be removed for adjustment, can be removed from bottom for cleaning
Forend:
- Polymer with threaded mounting holes at various positions.
- Side mounting options for rail, flush mount QD sling plate, external QD cup, etc on both sides of forend
Folding Mechanism (not applicable for fixed stock):
- Main latch uses proven tapered lever style lockup
- Secondary latch locks buttstock in folded position
- Spring loaded plungers lock automatically
- Tapered design of primary latch allows tight lockup through wear of the system
- Latch components made of hardened stainless steel and nitrided high strength chromoly steel
Cheekpiece:
- Infinitely adjustable within range (1” travel) vertically, multiple positions fore and aft
- Polymer and can be quickly removed and re-installed, uses a clamp and thumbscrew design
- Includes a simple feature to make the cheekpiece return to the exact height you set it
Length of Pull:
- Tool-less adjustable in ¼” increments with 1.75” of adjustment range
- LOP range varies slightly between versions but is roughly 13.3” to 15.1”
Buttpad:
- Tool-less adjustments vertically to set positions within range and for cant 15 degrees each side
Mounting features for slings, monopods, etc:
- Buttstock has QD sling cup on each side and provisions for other mounting options. Folding stock has one additional QD mount point built in
- Buttstock includes bag rider which can be replaced with included picatinny rail or optional other bag riders
- One QD cup and Harris bipod stud included on forend
Materials/Finishes:
- Most aluminum parts are hard anodized (Type III)
- Fasteners are stainless steel (Black oxide coated) where possible
- Steel parts are salt bath nitrided or stainless steel
