Regular maintenance to your duck calls is always a good idea, especially if you hunt a lot each season. Changes in temperature, contact with moisture, and lots of day-in/day-out use can wear out reeds and corks. Keeping your call clean and the internal components in top shape will go a long way toward getting the most out of your investment.
Please note that some models have cork or rubber inserts and a varying number of reeds. You can trim the reeds to your desired spec and calling style.
